Dutchtown Cleanup Day

You know that episode of Parks and Rec where Leslie and April get to pick up trash all day? April is really excited and says, "What? I love garbage."
That was me yesterday.
We're friends with Lutheran Development Group here in south St. Louis who partnered with the Dutchtown community to hold a cleanup day. I loved witnessing all the different groups of people come together to help tidy the place up. Most of the work was concentrated on getting heavy trash out of the alleys. The group was sent out to 5 different areas and raced to fill their dumpster the fastest. The trashiest group won a dumpster award! And that's a sentence I never thought I would type but here we are.
