At Holy Cross we like to celebrate whenever we get a chance. Lent seems like a weird thing to celebrate and not just for the somberness of the season. It's just a strange time of the year. The days seem like they're not trying hard enough to be longer, the weather isn't quite warm but you also can't really bundle up into big snuggly winter clothes either, and of course we just sprang forward which gets less and less enjoyable every time it happens. Even so, we like to gather, we like art, and we like music so that's what we did to observe the first Sunday in Lent today. It was a beautiful service with lovely people. It made the time change sleepiness a little bit more bearable.
