St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church- Washington, MO

Architecture, Catholic

It's embarrassing but I've been holding onto these photos for almost a year. Last summer I was in Washington, Missouri and decided to visit the beautiful St. Francis Borgia Church. The congregation was formed in 1838 and the current structure was dedicated on Easter Monday of 1869.

The church sits atop a hill, keeping watch on the town. It's built in a mix of architectural styles. I think I see Gothic, Romanesque, and Renaissance. In a serendipitous turn of events, I couldn't locate the light switches which allowed me to photograph the space using all natural light.
